Ayikho indlela yokuhlola nofana ukuphikisa bona uZimu ukhona nofana awa. IBhayibhili ithi kufuze samukele ngekholo bona uZimu ukhona: “Kodwana umuntu nakanganakukholwa, uZimu ngekhe athaba ngomuntu loyo, ngombana loyo oya kuZimu, kufanele akholwe bona ukhona nokobanyana uyabavuza labo abamfunako” (Hebheru 11:6). Nengabe uZimu gade athanda njalo, bekungaba bulula bona aziveze abonise iphasi mazombe bona ukhona. Kodwana nengabe wenza bunjalo gade kungekhe kutlhogeke bona sibe nekholo. “UJesu wathi kuye, ‘Uyakholwa ngombana uyangibona na? ; Banetjhudu kangangani abakholwa bangakaboni’” (John 20:29).
Namkha kunjalo lokhu akutjho bona abukho ubufakazi bokuba khona kwakaZimu. IBhayibhili ithi, “Isibhakabhaka siyiveza ngokudarhileko ikazimulo kaZimu; amazulu aveza ngokusetatawuleni akwenzileko. Ilanga elinye lazisa elizako; nobusuku obunye butjengisa obulandelako ngelwazeli. Akunakulumo akunamezwi akhulunywako, alikho nelizwi elizwakalako. Kodwana amaphimbo ezwakala ephasini loke, iye, ezwakala emaphelelweni wephasi” (Psalm 19:1-4). Isizathu sesithathu esibufakazi bokobana uZimu ukhona eemfundweni zokucabanga sibizwa bona ngese cosmology. Yoke imiphumela kufanele bona ibe nesizathu. Koke okubunjiweko nakho koke okukhona kumphumela. Kufanele bona kunento eyabangela bona yoke into ibe khona. Emaswapheleni khona, kufuze bona kunento “ephikisana nebangela” neyizabangela bona yoke enye into ibe khona. Lokhu “okuphikisa ibangela” nguZimu.
Isizathu sesine sibizwa isizathu semikgwa yokuziphatha. Yoke ipucuko yabantu emlandweni wesintu soloko inomthetho ongewayo. Woke umuntu unomuzwa wokuhle nokumbi. Ukubulala, ukuleya amala, ukweba, nokuziphatha okumbi kumbi kuphi nakuphi la ungaya khona. Uvelaphi umuzwa lo wokuhle nokumbi nekungasi kuZimu ocwengekileko?
Namtjhana kunjalo iBhayibhili isitjela bona abantu bazoliphikisa ilwazi elikhanyako nelingaphikiseki likaZimu bese kunalokho bakholelwe amala. YamaRoma 1:25 iyayibeka, “Balisa okuliqiniso ngoZimu, badzimelela emangeni, balotjha okubunjiweko kunobanyana balotjhe uMenzi, ofanele adunyiswe ngokungapheliko. Amen.” IBhayibhili godu irhuwelela bona abantu abanazo izaba zokobana bangakholelwa kuZimu: “Ngombana soloko uZimu abumba izulu nephasi—abantu bazi kuhle amandla wakhe angapheliko nobuZimu baKhe—kwabonakala ngalokho akwenzileko, nje-ke abasenawo amazaba” (Romans 1:20).
Abantu batjho bona bayakuphikisa ukuba khona kwakaZimu ngombana “kungasi ngokwesayensi” nofana “kungombana akunabufakazi”. Isizathu samambala kukobana nebangathoma bavume bona UZimu ukhona, kuzokufanela bona bayelele bona banomlandu kuZimu begodu batlhoga bona abalibalele (Romans 3:23, 6:23). Nengabe ukhona uZimu, khona kufuze bona siziphendulele kuye ngezenzo zethu. Nengabe akakho uZimu, kulapho singenza nofana yini esiyifunako singatshwenywa kukobana uZimu uzasahlulela. Kungalokho inengi lalabo abaphikisa ukuba khona kwakaZimu banamathela ngakho koke efundisweni yokuzitjhugululeka kwemvelo—kubanikela enye into abangakholelwa kiyo engasi nguZimu umbumbi. UZimu ukhona begodu ukuphela kwendaba kukobana woke umuntu uyazi bona ukhona. Khona ukuthi abanye balinga ngamandla kangaka ukuphikisa ubukhona bakhe ngokwakho kulibanga elibonisa ukuba khona kwakhe.
Sazi njani bona ukhona uZimu? NjengamaKrestu, siyazi bona uZimu ukhona nambala ngombana sikhuluma naye ngamalanga. Asimuzwa ngeendlebe akhuluma nathi, kodwana siyakuzwa ukuba khona kwaKhe, siyakuyelela ukusirhola kwaKhe, siyalazi ithando laKhe, siyawukarekela umusa waKhe. Kunezinto ezenzeke eempilweni zethu ezinganayo enye ihlathululo ngaphandle kwakaZimu. UZimu usisindise ngokurarako watjhugulula neempilo zethu ngangokuthi ngekhe senza ngenye indlela ngaphandle kokobana sikuvume ukuba khona kwaKhe begodu sikulotjhe. Awekho kilawa amabanga angakatelela umuntu owalako bona abone into esepepeneni. Isigcino sona, ukubakhona kwakaZimu kufanele kwamukelwe ngekholo (Hebheru 11:6). Ikholo kuZimu akusikweqela ebumnyameni uvale amehlo; kuligadango eliphephileko eligena ngelawini elikhanyiswe kuhle la inengi labantu sele lijame khona.
